DECO

This beautiful townhouse near one of the most popular squares in Antwerp, Belgium boasts many original art-deco elements that we were keen to preserve.

We restored original elements and designed the new furniture with respect for the context of the house. The kitchen is a perfect example of this approach, with clean white lines and a curved backsplash that complements the house's art-deco style. While the marble countertops add a touch of luxury to the space.

Throughout the house, we chose to use stained oak to give warmth and character to interior. The bathroom was also redone with stained oak but combined with pink tiling on the walls and marble tiles on the floor. The pink is a nod to the oftentimes colorful approach of art-deco and is a good contrast to the dark wood. The shower panel is designed specifically for this project and fits perfectly within the existing design language.

We also designed the terrace and garden area, creating a made-to-measure balustrade in the art-deco style of the house that is painted to match the outside windows.
