We were tasked with designing an extra bathroom in a renovated house. The unique feature of the space is the original structural beams that add character and charm to the room. Our challenge was to create a bathroom that complements the original architecture while also adding a modern touch.
We chose to balance out the original structural beams by using a very neutral palette. We painted the walls and the structure white, which not only enhances the original features of the space but also makes the room feel more spacious and airy. To add a touch of warmth and playfulness, we decided to use a soft grey micro topping finished by hand. This unique material adds texture and visual interest to the space while also complementing the white walls and structure.
The overall result is a beautiful and functional bathroom that seamlessly blends old and new elements.
